Applications for 2010 Art Court Coming Soon!
AutumnFest Art Show & Sale
After a great showing last year we have expanded our Art Court this year to accommodate more vendors and with that comes a few new rules.
This year we are opening up to more types of art and accepting some crafts. All applications will be subjected to a Jury approval process. Please allow time for us to process your application. At least 1 full week is needed to process the application for approval for showing at the Art Court.
We are also accepting applications for our AutumnFest Art Show and sale which happens in late November. The AutumnFest is for Art only. Crafty items are not accepted. See below for details.
What is the Art Court?
Art Court runs Saturdays May-October, and Wednesdays in the summer
The Art Court was developed to allow artist to show and sell their works during the summer months while the Beaverton Farmers Market runs in the parking lot next to our church. The church provides the space for a small fee that will benefit the ministries of Beaverton First United Methodist Church. (BFUMC)
Artists will display in the grass surrounding the Beaverton First United Methodist Church and will consist of Watercolors, jewelry, crafts, gifts, photos, etc. The Art Court is not connected with the Farmers Market. All artists must submit a sample of their work for approval. This can be sent via email, fax, or mail. Samples can be returned at request. BFUMC reserves the right to ask artists to not display work that does not fit with the representation of the sample submitted.
The Purpose of Art Court:
• To increase the profile of BFUMC at the Farmer’s Market
• To generate some identification of the church in the community.
• To generate some income for the church in light of rising energy costs and appeals for assistance.
• To provide a location near the Farmer’s Market for our friends in the art community.
